We have been flying the flag as a UK Brand following a 100% Made in the UK ethos and feel proud that we were able to show a tight capsule line of items that screamed quality, desirability and sustainability at the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin.
Feedback has been fantastic with our capsule tweed line called 'New Directions in Tweed' being described as 'super-cool-premium' and 'special items' and we are very excited that our neigbours in Germany, Holland and S Korea may well be able to get their hands on some Cock & Bull Menswear items!
We began the preparation for our first capsule collection for wholesale in earnest in October which was somewhat late in the fashion calendar. This was indeed a tall order having spent the previous intense months launching our shop, Cock & Bull & Co. but we obviously like a challenge. We felt ready to share the Cock & Bull vision for men on a wider scale and we feel very blessed to have now built a talented team around us that includes pattern cutters, graders and sample makers (including a Saville Row trained tailor) and product photographers who assisted in making it all a reality so quickly.
While sourcing sustainable fabrics is always a daunting task it has been made much more do-able with the sourcing tools such as the Ethical Fashion Forum. We are constantly on the look out for fabrics that meet our tight criteria of being sustainable, durable and interesting and we now rely on a handful of mills and producers that we trust to deliver the goods. The whole process is, indeed, a partnership which oscelates around the true stars of brand which are the producers and artisans.
We are looking forward to visiting Berlin again later this year but until then we will be developing our SS15 line.
