Cock & Bull & Co. London Fashion Week Launch

18 Sep 2013
Press Release

We had a lot of fun during London Fashion Week preparing and celebrating the launch of Cock & Bull & Co.  The ping-pong table went down a treat at our evening event as did our live Jazz Quartet, DJ's Graffiti Life & Gin Cocktails.

We are blessed to have a space at the back of our boutique on Cheshire Street and as the summer now draws to a close we are now looking forward to next Spring when we can plan a series of events.  Until then we will be wrapping up warm and buckling down to some serious merino colouring and knitting!

Cock & Bull & Co. UK's 1st Sustainable & Ethical Menswear Boutique - Press Launch on Eve of London Fashion Week -

11 Sep 2013
Press Release

This Thursday, on the eve of London Fashion week, Cock & Bull & Co will host its official launch party in celebration of opening the UK’s first dedicated sustainable menswear boutique.  The evening will offer live music, games, a graffiti performance and the usual party antics in its designated 'boy-zone'.

Perfectly positioned on East London’s fashionable Cheshire Street, the shop’s vision is two-fold: to drive the sustainable menswear revolution by giving style-conscious men a hub for design-led independent ethical and sustainable menswear brands, and to inspire them to make more informed decisions when shopping for clothes.

Cock & Bull & Co is an extension of the Cock & Bull Menswear brand founded by Phil Scott and A A Lindsay. A complete first for the UK, the boutique’s dedication to sustainability is born out of collaborations with like-minded designer-manufacturers.  With the momentum of this rapidly growing movement already underway, trendsetters predict we will see new brands offering more exciting ethical options exclusively for men. Cock & Bull & Co will be the menswear destination in London to tap into this quickly developing market.

Founder Phil Scott says: ”As a consumer, I was frustrated by the poor design of sustainable menswear. Many boutiques are primarily for women - either exclusively, or with menswear 'tagged on' as an afterthought. An effect of this is that designers and producers don't see distribution points and assume that there is no market for mindfully produced menswear. But there are plenty of men who want to stand up and be counted. There are many of us amongst the growing movement of people who don't want to exploit others or pollute ecosystems for what we wear. So Cock & Bull & Co was developed as a place to offer men options, to bring together design-led pieces produced with both ethics as well as aesthetics in mind. We’re really proud and excited to officially open our doors and invite mindful people to shop with discretion.

Press Release: Sustainable Fashion Set To Be a Style Staple This Summer

14 Jun 2013
Press Release | Organic Cotton

The arrival of summer comes with a healthy dose of sustainable fashion this season at London brand, Cock & Bull Menswear who have launched a range of organic cotton t-shirts which are perfect for city, beach and country living.

The organic t-shirts are available in three styles: the ‘Easy T’, ‘FCT’ and ‘Slim T’. All t-shirts are made from super soft 196 gsm GOTS Certified Organic Cotton. This makes them soft and luxurious to the touch and supremely comfortable to wear come rain or shine.

The Slim T t-shirt is long, lean and figure skimming, designed to give a modern silhouette and show off the physique. The shirt has a standard neckline and finished length of 66 cm. It can be worn as outerwear in summer and then sported under a jumper or long sleeve shirt in winter giving the maximum wear Cock & Bull is known for.

The Slim T is available in eight styles, one for each day of the week. Options range from natural unbleached, Persian blue, ash, sage and plum through to natural indigo, plum and henna prints. Plain colours are priced at £25.00 with the printed styles priced at £35.00.

The second organic t-shirt design from the ethical fashion retailer is the classic Easy Tee. All purpose with a relaxed fit, it is based on a tried and true heritage cut for maximum comfort day in, day out. Like its Slim counterpart, it can also be worn as inner or outerwear and is available in a range of block colours. Options include sage, plum, Persian and ash. A natural henna print is available for £35.00.

Cock & Bull Menswear’s ‘FCT’ is also a slim t-shirt but with a scoop neck and a little extra length. The FCT is available in natural unbleached, Persian blue, ash, sage and plum.

Designer A.A. Lindsay said, “Our organic t-shirts and jersey wear is a tried and true summer staple designed to be easily wearable, comfortable and stylish year after year. We believe that ‘slow fashion’ is far superior to throwaway fashion so we wanted to create a range a t-shirts that were easy to wear, comfortable, flattering and that can be relied upon year after year and look just as good next summer, or the one after, as they do now.”

As with all of Cock & Bull Menswear apparel, the t-shirts are made exclusively in the UK from sustainable fabrics and yarns.
